The Macanudo Vintage Cigar Series

A Macanudo Vintage Cabinet cigar is the definitive in mellowness and smoothness in two distinctive behaviors. Foremost, is the wrapper the rarest of all Connecticut Shade tobacco leaves. Second, all of the tobaccos used in making these Macanudo cigars are matured more gradually than any others.

To set them apart in yet another manner, each of the Macanudo cigars display two bands - one to identify the cigar as the Macanudo Vintage and the other to select the year of the Vintage quality harvest.

As one would imagine, as the Macanudo cigars age and become scarcer they also grow in value.

The Macanudo Vintage cigars are each more than four years in the making and include filler leaves from the Dominican Republic and Mexico. In an occasional year, a Macanudo harvest of Connecticut Shade tobacco includes a small amount of extraordinary leaves.

Given that such leaves surpass the highest premium standards, they are set aside to be cured and aged for super-premium Macanudo. Since 1971, a vintage quality harvest has occurred in only the years 1979, 1984, 1988, 1993, and 1997.

The Macanudo Vintage that displays those years has been released in different quantities approximately three years after their tobaccos were harvested.
